Why did you apply for a Boeing apprenticeship?

I have always wanted to work around aircraft, whether it was flying or fixing them.

What’s the best thing you’ve done so far?

Standing underneath a Chinook whilst it has been starting up (With rotors turning).

What would your advice be to someone thinking about applying for a Boeing apprenticeship?

It’s a brilliant opportunity to start your career in aviation, the opportunity to network throughout the business would not be found at another company as big as Boeing.

What would you like to do once your apprenticeship finishes?

I would like to complete my studies toward my Part 66 B license and also do a top up degree in Aircraft Maintenance.

Why did you apply for a Boeing apprenticeship?

The opportunity to work on Defence Helicopters and both Commercial and Defence fixed wing Aircraft is why I applied. I knew it would give myself exposure to the industry which isn’t offered anywhere else. Also due to the variety of locations that Boeing operates from I knew there would be the opportunity to travel around the country and eventually abroad once qualified.

What’s the best thing you’ve done so far?

Working in the Chinook Maintenance Force (CMF) doing Primary checks on the Chinook alongside the RAF on base at RAF Odiham.

What would your advice be to someone thinking about applying for a Boeing apprenticeship?

Research the job role and company before applying to make sure you are prepared for any questions at the interview. Also take your time when filling out your application and stay focused, don’t rush it and check for spelling mistakes. Try and sell yourself and include any relevant work experience to the role.

What would you like to do once your apprenticeship finishes?

Work for Boeing full time as an Aircraft Technician in Lossiemouth or Gatwick.

Why did you apply for a Boeing apprenticeship?

I wanted an apprenticeship to become an Aircraft Technician and knew Boeing were the leader in aerospace. They also have great company values and therefore I picked Boeing.

What’s the best thing you’ve done so far?

Moving away from home to start my career with Boeing.

What would your advice be to someone thinking about applying for a Boeing apprenticeship?

My best advice would be to do some research into the company and be yourself.

What would you like to do once your apprenticeship finishes?

I would like to gain my commercial license and/or progress throughout the company.

Why did you apply for a Boeing apprenticeship?

I applied hoping it would be my gateway into the aviation industry whilst working for a world leading organization.

What’s the best thing you’ve done so far?

Working on the CH-47 Chinook, an aircraft I grew up admiring from a young age.

What would your advice be to someone thinking about applying for a Boeing apprenticeship?

Go for it! Make the most of every opportunity, be yourself and have a passion for learning.

What would you like to do once your apprenticeship finishes?

Become a full time technician with Boeing, continue to learn and gain an all-round knowledge of the aircraft platform I work on.
