Making sure the store, my colleagues and customers are safe, reviewing CCTV, walking the shop floor.

Internal training – use of a computer system and CCTV system.

Better communication skills and how to be patient.

Communication, being vigilant, and how to deal when conflict arises.

Was there anything about the job that surprised you?

It’s not just standing at the front door. There is much more that goes on behind the scenes!

Stopping shoplifters and interacting with customers.

No, I didn’t always pursue going into this industry.

I don’t feel that I am a keyworker, I am just doing my job. Helping the public during this time makes me proud of being a keyworker.
