Business, opportunities and breakfast for employers

30 attendees from across Moray, attended DYW Moray’s Graduate Apprenticeship Business Breakfast with Robert Gordon University (RGU) on Wednesday 1st December 2021, held at Moray Conference Centre in The Mansefield Hotel in Elgin.

The key part of event was presented by Fiona Campbell, Senior Business Development Manager, from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. With Fiona’s presentation, employers had the opportunity to hear about the benefits of Graduate Apprenticeships and how they can get involved.

Attendees also had the opportunity to hear first-hand from employees from AES Solar – a leading Scottish solar thermal manufacturer and PV installer based in Forres – including the business’ own Graduate Apprentices.

Aimee Stephen, DYW Moray Business Liaison and who is currently undertaking a Graduate Apprenticeship, said:

“A selection of fourteen different Graduate Apprenticeships can be offered by employers, with seven of these currently provided by Robert Gordon University. Each of the courses can be undertaken by any business or organisation, whether they’re micro-sized right through to national-sized, and each is fully funded for any employee of any age.

“A Graduate Apprenticeship allows new or existing employees to study towards an Honours degree while working and earning and provides many benefits to businesses.”.
