Forres Golf Club is seeking reliable, skilled, and enthusiastic Part Time Cooks to join our kitchen team. As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for members and guests in our clubhouse and catering for occasional special events. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast paced kitchen, maintains a clean and organised workspace, and takes pride in delivering consistent, well prepared food.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with club standards and recipes
- Assist in daily food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and organising ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas
- Ensure food is stored and handled properly following safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
- Support special events and golf tournaments with appropriate food service
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or needs to the supervisor
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 2 year of experience in a professional kitchen (club or hospitality setting preferred)
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and adapt as needed
