Due to continued growth we are looking to add an additional labourer into our team. You will be working as part of a solar install team assisting the installers with new solar systems on commercial, residential and new build properties.
We are offering an exciting entry-level position with a clear pathway for growth within our company. Starting as a labourer, employees have the opportunity to progress through our structured solar installer banding levels, developing new skills and unlocking their full potential along the way. For applicants with prior experience in roofing or the solar industry, there is potential to join at a higher banding, allowing you to hit the ground running and build on your existing expertise.
Main tasks & responsibilities
· General labouring including job preparation, loading and unloading and maintaining site tidiness.
· Perfoming tasks as directed by the lead installer to assist with the installation of Solar PV systems and battery storage, including in roof, on roof and ground mount systems.
· Working on a large range of projects ranging from small residential to large scale commercial projects.
· Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and laws and regulations.
· Occasionally traveling away for installations in remote regions or large commercial projects.
Skills and experience
Required:
· Knowledge of the Solar PV industry or willingness to learn
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to work to deadlines
· Effective team member who can work well with others.
Desirable:
· Valid CSCS Card
· Full drivers licence
· Previous building site experience
· Experience of working in the renewables sector
