Duties
- Greet customers warmly, providing attentive and personalized service to enhance their shopping experience
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Operate the POS system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance
- Assist customers with product selection by offering knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to ensure a well-organized store environment
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, organizing back stock, and conducting regular stock checks
- Apply basic math skills for cash register operations, sales calculations, and inventory counts
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support team supervision by guiding new team members on store procedures and customer service standards when needed
- Engage in product demos to educate customers about new items or promotions, boosting sales opportunities
- Promote upselling techniques to maximize sales potential while ensuring customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in fast-paced environments such as grocery stores or retail outlets
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cashiering and retail math tasks
- Professional phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally over the phone or in person
- Supervising experience is a bonus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated for team support roles
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
