Hi, my name is Hannah MacDonald. I am 16 years old, and I am in S6 at Elgin High School, as well as completing work experience every Monday and Wednesday at DYW Moray as the Marketing and Admin Assistant.

I chose this work experience placement because I want to learn more about marketing and administration, as these are the areas that really interest me and are highly likely to be a main role in my future career. This opportunity is an excellent way for me to further develop my knowledge and skills whilst also gaining real experience of what working in this field is like. I am most looking forward to learning more about marketing as a whole as well as networking with companies in the Moray area.

So far, I have completed a number of exciting tasks including adding jobs to the website, creating my first blog and social media post, attending Business Gateway webinars as well as my first employer meeting and general office admin - I can't wait to see what the future holds.

After school I am hoping to get a modern apprenticeship in Admin and Marketing. As I enjoy classes at school such as Media and Admin and IT, I have gained an interest in having a career related to these areas. Due to this I am very interested in gaining any experience I can, and I believe that my time at DYW will be very worthwhile.
