An opportunity has arisen for an accounts/admin assistant within our busy office in Buckie. As an accounts/admin assistant you will be involved in a range of administration and book-keeping activities to support our team and associate companies with the running of successful commercial fishing businesses.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage all book-keeping and administrative tasks, including data entry, filing and document preparation.
· Assist with processing purchase and sales invoices.
· Handle incoming calls, emails and inquiries from clients, customers, and suppliers.
· Liaise with fishermen and other internal and external stakeholders as needed.
· Support the team with reports, correspondence and other administrative duties as required.
Requirements
· The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Time management, self-discipline and flexibility are key.
· Office admin experience would be beneficial.
· Experience in the fishing industry is desirable but not essential as full training will provided.
