About Tulloch of Cummingston and the role:
Tulloch of Cummingston is a family-owned house builder, developing high-quality homes in the Moray region for over 60 years. We’re known for our outstanding attention to detail, exceptional workmanship, personalised customer service, and customisable home designs.
Tulloch of Cummingston are offering a Groundworker Apprenticeship, with the majority of work taking place on new-build housing developments. The successful candidate will be trained directly on-site through hands-on experience, and we are currently looking into the most appropriate apprenticeship qualification suitable for this role. This apprenticeship will provide experience across all aspects of groundworks, allowing the candidate to develop a wide range of practical skills and discover their strengths within the trade. As experience progresses, opportunities may also arise to gain machinery and plant operation tickets.
Job responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Assisting with foundations and site preparation works
- Installing new-build drainage and sewer systems
- Service trenching and utility tracking
- Kerbing, roads, surfacing, paths, and driveway works
- Garden preparation, landscaping, and planting
- Ground clearance and general site preparation
- Assisting with the operation of various plant machinery
- General labouring duties on-site
Trial & probation period:
The successful candidate will be invited to undertake a short trial period. If successful, they will complete a probation period before progressing into a long-term Groundworker role.
