As a Purling Operative here at Johnstons of Elgin, you will be responsible for operating Fringing machinery which involves hand and foot co-ordination to twist the fringes of woven fabric at the ends of our luxury rugs and scarves.
This a full-time, permanent position working on a two-shift rotation on dayshift and backshift.
Dayshift 0600 -1400 Monday to Thursday and 0600 - 1200 on Friday
Backshift 1400 - 0000 Monday to Thursday
Rate of pay starts from £12.60 per hour, dependant on experience.
About you
You will have:
- Excellent hand and foot co-ordination to twist the fringes of our woven fabrics.
- An eye for detail, particularly in regard to quality
- The ability to follow written instructions
- Good colour vision
