Support Worker (Waking Nights), Community Integrated Care - Elgin

You will be supporting a group of individuals moving into their own homes in Elgin with the age range of 24 to 26 year old. They will require support moving from their family homes to their own homes and will require support to learn new skills, look at new opportunities and develop their skills! Our staff must have patience, empathy, have a bubbly nature and a drive to explore new things. This is a brand new development within Elgin which has a lot to offer in terms of the city itself and has many links to the North and South of Scotland. They live in their own bungalows within the same street and in close proximity to each other as they are all neighbours and they all have their own garden. If is important they are supported to look at new opportunities in the community. They like to go walking and attending locals groups and clubs. Disney, Sports and being outdoors are some of their interests. They want to be able to learn new skills and have new experiences living on their own. They would benefit from being enabled to live as independently as possible. They are young and energetic. Support is provided on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis. Support would be required during th night. They would benefit from staff who are energetic, keen to support and seen new opportunities. You must have a thirst to learn and undertake any training needed to support them successfully. Our GROWN learner journey is an award winning training package and service specific training will be tailored to suit the needs of the people we support including examples such as Moving and Positioning of People, Acquired Brain Injury Specialism, Epilepsy with specialised medication administration, Visual Impairment and ADHD.
