Introducing Fern Smith our new work experience placement!

Fern Smith joins DYW Moray to gain work experience and put her Degree into practise.

Hi, I’m Fern Smith and I grew up in Lossiemouth, and I’m looking forward to beginning work experience with DYW Moray. I recently graduated from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, gaining a First in their BA (Hons) International Business Management course.

Having grown up in Moray, I am excited to engage with DYW and witness their role within the local area. I decided to reach out to DYW Moray to further learn and enhance the skills and knowledge that I have learnt from my time at RGU. This opportunity will allow me to apply the content I have learned from university, whilst gaining invaluable skills through the practical element of being part of their working environment.

Upon undertaking this work experience, I am looking forward to having a better understanding of how the business environment operates. This will particularly be useful in having a clearer understanding of what I have interests in, which I believe will be helpful for my future career.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and staying active. More recently through running, where I completed my first half marathon last year!
