Hi, my name is Lauren McKay, I am 16 years old and go to Buckie High. I am doing work experience as the Marketing and Admin Assistant at DYW. I chose to do this work experience as it interested me in learning more about marketing and admin, as well as what it involves as I think this is something I would like to do in the future, which will help to further my knowledge.

 My placement will involve learning how to schedule and create social media posts/blogs, creating posters and leaflets, communicating and meeting with employers and learning more about apprenticeships. I am looking forward to learning how to properly use different tools to create social media posts that are informative and creative, I’m also looking forward to learning more about different employers and how to communicate with them efficiently and clearly.

 After school I am hoping to get a modern apprenticeship in something like marketing/admin, I want to do this because I’ve always been interested in marketing and enjoyed learning about it in Business during school, I think this placement will help me with my knowledge in for the future.
